Viet Technology Company Limited: Completed all 6 bidding packages to supply steel towers for the 500kV circuit-3 transmission line project

On April 30, 2024, the last packages of providing steel towers for the 500kV circuit-3 transmission line project were handed over by Viet Technology Company Limited (VTECH) to the investor’s representative, the Northern Vietnam Power Projects Management Board (NPMB). This is the first contractor to complete the supply of steel towers with many bidding packages and a large number of steel towers for the 500kV circuit-3 transmission line project.

VTECH participates in providing steel towers for 6 contracts of packages No. 19, 20, 21, 24, 25, 26 of the 500kV 3-circuit transmission line project section of Nam Dinh I Thermal Power Plant – Thanh Hoa, corresponding to 100 steel poles with a total volume of 10,700 tons.

It’s practical how VTECH strictly implemented the Prime Minister’s direction for the 500kV circuit-3 transmission line projects from Quang Trach to Pho Noi: “Just work, don’t talk back, overcome the sun and the rain, eat quickly, sleep quickly, work in 3 shifts of 4 crews, work through holidays and Tet”. VTECH’s early completion of providing steel towers to the construction site of the 500kV circuit-3 transmission line project has contributed to help limit the situation of “foundation waiting for columns”, the construction site focused on organizing the erection of towers early to be determined to complete the project in June 2024.

Mr. Nguyen Le Anh – Chairman of the Board of Directors of VTECH said: With the number of types of steel towers in 06 bidding packages being 43 types covering 100 steel towers, VTECH has closely coordinated with the manufacturer throughout the contract implementation process, from raw material procurement, production and packaging, transportation, especially the application of technical standards and Electrical industry standards to 3D design with the most advanced technology for each type of sample tower, to ensure the best quality and highest accuracy for the project’s steel tower types.

During the contract implementation period, although it coincided with the New Year and Lunar New Year holidays, the finished towers were transported from the factory to the construction site in Vietnam across a very long distance and multiple transshipmments. However, following the direction of the Prime Minister, as well as the requirements of the National Power Transmission Corporation and the Northern Vietnam Power Projects Management Board, VTECH has made maximum efforts, working 3 shifts with 4 crews, find every solution to speed up the handover of the products, overcome all difficulties and challenges to complete the entire volume of the six Contracts, contribute to meeting the project’s construction progress, and strive to promptly energize the project on June 30, 2024, ensuring electricity supply during peak periods in 2024 and the following years.

VTECH has also completed the excavation and casting of the foundation for the 500kV circuit-3 transmission line ahead of schedule and organized tower erection.

In addition to providing steel towers for the 500kV circuit-3 transmission line project, VTECH also cooperates with FECON Joint Stock Company to construct and install a bidding package for the 500kV circuit-3 transmission line project in Quang Trach – Quynh Luu district. With its responsibility, the contractor organized construction in 3 shifts with 4 crews, throughout holidays and Tet and soon completed foundation excavation ahead of the schedule (it’s April 30, 2024 as planned) at the request of the Prime Minister and the investor. Currently, locations being constructed by VTECH are prepared for steel tower erection and many towers have been completely erected.
