VTECH Welcomes Inspection Delegation at 220kV Yen Dung Substation Project
On October 21, 2026, at the project site of the 220kV Yen Dung Substation Project and Connection Lines, Mr. Nguyen Huy Cuong, Director of Viet Technology Co., Ltd. (VTECH), representing the EPC General Contractor and construction units, welcomed a high-level inspection delegation. The delegation was led by Mr. Dang Hoang An, Chairman of the Member Council of Vietnam Electricity (EVN), along with representatives from the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) and the Northern Power Projects Management Board (NPMB).
The 220kV Yen Dung Substation and Connection Lines project is being constructed in Canh Thuy Ward, Bac Ninh Province. It holds strategic significance in meeting the rapidly growing power demand to support local socio-economic development and Bac Ninh’s double-digit growth targets.

The scope of the project includes the substation package featuring two 220kV transformers with a capacity of 250MVA each; a double-circuit 220kV transmission line (approximately 0.11 km in length) connecting to the existing Pha Lai – Quang Chau 220kV line; and a 35kV line supplying auxiliary power for internal consumption.
Reporting to EVN Chairman Dang Hoang An and the delegation, VTECH stated that site levelling, the control building, the pump house, perimeter fencing, and equipment support foundations have been essentially completed. The foundation systems for 220kV and 110kV gantries and equipment are being urgently finalized to prepare for receiving primary equipment and the 220kV-250MVA power transformers, scheduled to arrive at the site on October 23 and October 27, 2026, respectively, for installation, testing, and commissioning.

Under the close supervision of Director Nguyen Huy Cuong, VTECH’s engineers and workforce on-site have maintained a high level of dedication, organizing continuous three-shift operations and proactively overcoming construction labor shortages to stay strictly on schedule day by day.
Following a direct site inspection, EVN Chairman Dang Hoang An commended the outstanding efforts of the management team, engineers, and workers of EPC General Contractor VTECH and participating project units for overcoming challenges and mobilizing machinery and equipment to complete a substantial volume of work within a short timeframe.
Emphasizing the crucial role of the project in Bac Ninh Province’s development, the EVN Chairman instructed EPC General Contractor VTECH, EVNNPT, NPMB, and all participating forces to maintain high focus and aggressively accelerate construction progress. Units are required to review detailed schedules for each item, optimize resource allocation, organize extra shifts, and resolve remaining bottlenecks. Crucially, the construction process must always uphold responsibility, strictly adhere to technical standards, guarantee absolute work quality and occupational safety, and remain firmly committed to completing and energizing the project in November 2026.
On behalf of the construction contractor, Director Nguyen Huy Cuong acknowledged the directives and affirmed that VTECH’s leadership, engineers, and staff will maximize their EPC capabilities and devote full resources to overcoming all challenges, ensuring the project reaches completion on schedule with the highest technical and aesthetic quality.
